Words will never be enough to express my deep appreciation to Lloyd and Scott Carter for being the angels sent from Heaven when I thought I had no where to turn and had no clue what to do next.

Both of my parents were hospitalized and were subsequently sent to a rehab center. The rehab center released my mom to home to care for herself with three physical therapy visits and one occupational therapist visit. Joan – the occupational therapist – could hear it in my voice that I was at the end of my rope. She offered to have Lloyd Carter call me. From the minute Lloyd called me…he took control…he knew the answers….he knew the answers to questions I didn’t even know to ask.

When I was notified the rehab center was releasing my dad to home – I emotionally lost it because I knew my father could not care for himself at home. I knew my mother with her limited abilities would not be able to care for him. I was in full-fledge panic mode when I called Lloyd – he told me to relax – take a break – and he would take care of it. And boy did he take care of it. Lloyd did not sit still until he had the plan in place that transitioned my parents to an assisted living center. Lloyd and his brother Scott worked other miracles in obtaining a total solution in a very short time and both went beyond what mere mortals would have been able to do.

They truly are my angels sent from Heaven. I will be forever thankful of Lloyd and Scott coming into our lives at the time we needed them most.

Lloyd opened my eyes & helped educate me in this medical world. He made this transfer totally painless for me, making all the arrangements, working with me with explanations of all that was happening and being available at all times.

I cannot recommend him and his brother Scott highly enough. I have full confidence and belief in them. They are totally honest and up front and do it all with ease. Thank you two so much.

Dear Lloyd and Scott:

I want to thank both of you for your help in locating special group homes for my husband

The first home, Biltmore Assisted Living, was very caring and he felt much at home there. But when I found I had to move him for financial reasons, you came forward and found him another good place to be.

Also thank you for your assistance in getting him back on Hospice. It is such a help.

I do appreciate the time and effort spent on our account. I know that both Mark and I have referred people to you and will do do in the future.

Sincerely,

Carolyn Allen, Phoenix, Arizona

“Dear Lloyd,
I just wanted to take a moment to let you know how much Sandy and I appreciate everything you have done to see that my step-mother, Gladys’ transition to her new home has been a success. The pressure of having to deal with selling the house, disposing of its contents, and assuming oversight of Gladys’ financial affairs following my father’s death, all while living two thousand miles away, has been enormous.

However, thanks to your efforts, the burden of moving her to the assisted living facility was lifted from our shoulders. The facility is lovely. Your persistence in reassuring her that this move was right for her was instrumental. Your moving her and her things to her new home was above and beyond the call of duty. Not to mention picking me up from the airport.

We will be eternally grateful that we were somehow led to contact you in our time of need. Again, thank you so very much for your help.

Sincerely,

Tom and Sandy, Fountain Inn, South Carolina

“I would highly recommend Lloyd Carter for his services.

I live in California and my mom lives in Arizona. I had just started a new job with no time off. My mom needed to be placed in a group home because it was not safe for her to be at home.

Lloyd Carter started working with my mom in October of 2008, while she was at the [care center] for rehab. At that time my mother decided against a group home and went back home instead. Within a couple of months my mom ended back up in the emergency room as Lloyd warned would happen. (January 2009). During these months Lloyd Carter kept in contact with both my mother and me.

My mom has a hard time trusting anyone. Lloyd just kept talking to her and visiting her and finally there developed a trust between them. She finally allowed him to place her in a group home where she so desperately needed to be for her health and safety.

Lloyd Carter arranged everything while I was in California working. We talked continuously on the phone. Lloyd has extensive knowledge and experience dealing with all the agencies that deal with the elderly and knows how to make things happen. He is still working with both my mom and me.

Lloyd Carter goes above and beyond his regular job. He doesn’t know an 8 hour 5 day a week job. He works after hours and weekends. He was with us every step of the way. When my husband and I came in from California on a Saturday, Lloyd met us at the Rehab Center, checking my mom out of there and accompanying us to the Group home to over see the check-in there, as well.

I truly appreciate everything that Lloyd Carter has done and is still doing for me and my family. He has given us PEACE OF MIND. He does his job with knowledge experience and most of all with kindness and his heart.”

Sincerely,

Mary, Anaheim, California

“Good Morning:
I am writing to express our thanks and sincere appreciation for all you and Scott have done to find the right place for my Dad. The decision to place him was not an easy one and after one day of “facility shopping” with my brother, it was apparent that this could be a tedious and involved process.

I knew we needed help but I must confess to apprehension in making the appointment to have you come to our home and discuss this issue, especially when you mentioned that it was FREE to the patient and family. After all there’s no such thing as a “free lunch”! How you are compensated was one of my first questions, and your response was an answer that made sense. You also shared information with us about numerous Group Homes in our area and were careful to listen to our concerns and preferences. We were not aware of the existence of group homes and certainly had never heard of a placement service.

Lloyd and Scott, we can’t thank you enough for your concern, attention, diligence, compassion and follow up. You have helped us through this difficult transition with your knowledge of local resources. You definitely know who to call and how to “make things happen”. I don’t know how we would have ever done it without you and it desperately needed to be done. Thanks
Sincerely,

Erma (wife), Dan and Donna (Daughter and Son-in-law), Dan and Lorraine (Son and Daugher-in-law)

“We would like to thank you both very much for assisting us with finding a facility suitable for our Mom. With Mom at 94 years of age, blind, with late stages of Dementia as well as recovering from a nasty broken leg, it is a daunting task for anyone to deal with. You both were unrelenting in using your search network and gave us many workable prospective options.

Your negotiating skills, working within our budget and finding us a wonderful home that will address our mom’s very special needs was truly a blessing.

[The home you helped select] is perfect for the special needs that our Mom requires. God sent us both of you and answered our prayers in finding and placing Mom in the second best home only to our own. You both went well above and beyond the call of duty and are truly appreciated for your efforts.

We would be very happy to refer your comprehensive, knowledgeable, and compassionate services to anyone with needs and assistance in the daunting task of finding a quality Care Home for a family’s loved ones. The empathy, tenacity and understanding you both openly expressed made this task as stress-free and successful as possible for all of us.

God Bless you both!!”

Sincerely,

Alita & George, Scottsdale, AZ

“Recently, my experience with the many problems created by family illness and complicated by thousands of miles between the patient and relatives making decisions, seemed impossible. Not so!

As you know, over a period of six months, my uncle was moved three times. Had it not been for your help and endless concern and suggestions for his care and placement, I wouldn’t have been able to make the changes he needed. It would be impossible to compensate you for the hours you spent with me via phone and road time you spent getting needed items for my uncle. You always made yourself available.

The additional medical help provided by the staff of [the facility you suggested] from Chandler was again remarkable. Their skill and care were really appreciated by us and my uncle. They too, spent time with us, helping in many ways. [The staff] answered our questions, while tending to our Uncle. The Social worker was also very helpful. I know [his favorite] Pastor visited with our Uncle several times. The people on the staff are great–but you already know that.

I know that many others will benefit from your knowledge, suggested care and placement available. I can’t thank you enough for all you did for my uncle and our family.”

Sincerely,

Edna, North Haledon, NJ

“I recently had the privilege to work with Lloyd Carter. My grandmother was in a hospital in Mesa, and then moved to a nursing home for rehabilitation. When she was ready to be released, I spent a week calling the nursing home only to receive conflicting information every time I called. I had to make a decision from Texas about grandma’s care, but couldn’t get a straight answer. I was worried and I didn’t know what to do.

My husband, 5-year-old grandson and I left for Mesa prepared to move grandma from her assisted living apartment. But, did she need to stay in the nursing home? Could she function at her assisted living facility? Would a group home be a better option? We had a lot of questions and no answers.

Then we met Lloyd. I had questions, he had answers. He had correct answers in a timely manner. He made himself available to us, returned phone calls, showed up when he said he would. Lloyd acted in a professional manner, took care of paperwork and managed to cut through all the red tape for us. He helped us find a good place for grandma to live. Lloyd was comfortable with the elderly and spent time helping to entertain our grandson. He is a kind, caring and compassionate human being. He went well above and beyond the call of duty to help us in every way. It was such a relief to find someone who cares in a world of mediocrity.

I highly recommend Lloyd Carter.”

Sincerely,

Corene, Corinth, TX.
